Doctoral Candidate

Janice Li

EDUCATION:

  • BS Electrical Engineering, California Institute of Technology, 2001
  • MS Electrical Engineering, Stanford University, 2003

WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • Summer 2002: Stanford University, Research assistant
  • Summer 2001: Synaptics, Inc., ASIC designer
  • Summer 2000: Intel Corp., Intern for Itanium faultgrading
  • Summer 1999: Intel Corp., Intern for Itanium post-silicon validation

RESEARCH INTERESTS: Bioengineering and biotechnology, particularly for medical devices and applications.  My current project involves the development of a sensor to measure cytokine levels in body fluids so as to provide early indications of infection and/or stress.  Areas of interest relevant to the cytokine sensor include optics for detection (of up-converting phosphors), as well as immunoassays and surface chemistry.
